Project 365: Day 131, 132 and 133

Day 131: Nothing exciting really going on here this week so far. It’s kindof nice to have some down time. This is a photo of the two boys looking through baby photos. I wish you could hear the conversation between the two of them. Carter is telling Preston all about when he was a baby, and preston is so intently looking and listening to his big brother! I love moments like this and I especially love that they like looking through the photo books and the scrapbooks I have made for each one of them!

Day 132: It is my sister Lauren’s birthday today, I cannot believe she is 23! I remember the day my mother told me she was going to have another baby, not sure how I felt about it, being the youngest at that time (Lauren is the first of two girls from my mom and stepfather’s marriage), but now I couldn’t imagine my life without her! She has grown into such an amazing young woman, and she is an awsome aunt! Here is a picture of Lauren and Layla on her birthday at the boys T-ball game! Even on her birthday she manages to take time out to come support her nephews!

It was also Thursday, which means T-Ball! They couldn’t wait and the rain held out:) Preston was a little out of sorts though at the game, ended up falling asleep on Tim! Such a good daddy and coach, and Carter was wound up!

Day 133: Days like today are one of the best for a mother, atleast I think so! Carter’s class/and school preschool programs put on a Mother’s day “Mommy Breakfast” for all the kids moms! They had it all decorated, great food, and most of all it was just time for Carter and I to be together! They had interviewd the kids on their mommies and I love that I will have a keepsake like that! I love being a mother, even in the toughest of times, they make life worth living!

Washington Irving:
A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.
